Job Description:
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. The candidate who fills this role will have unique opportunities to stay in the technical accounting lane while also using proven advanced excel skills and SQL to make process improvements.
Accountants at RAYUS Radiology are exposed to many specific areas of accounting including month-end close, fixed assets and depreciation, purchase accounting via acquisitions, preparing pro-formas for growth initiatives, market budgets and ad-hoc analysis to assist market leaders, and financial reviews with board members.
We are looking for individuals who crave the ability to re-design processes for improved efficiency. Cross-team collaboration will be a key component of success in this very important role. This full-time remote position working schedule, Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for performing all accounting-related activities as assigned. Performs month-end close duties, prepares, and reconciles financial statements, prepares audit schedules and annual budget, presents financial statements to local board of directors, and supports management decisions through financial analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate thorough comprehension of all financial and operational activities within assigned market throughout the organization
Complete month end close and reporting while consistently receiving minimal changes or additional work requests from Accounting Managers
Prepare Radiologist compensation schedules in accordance with contracts and address related questions posed by radiologists
Communicate effectively directly with external partners and be "the face" of RAYUS in partnerships including presenting at partnership Board of Directors meetings
Design and complete complex financial modeling (e.g. Cash flow modeling, pro-forma financial analysis) with minimal assistance from Accounting Managers
Anticipate questions that market leaders will have and proactively address them
Provide guidance and coaching to Accountant I and II / Peers
Participate in or lead a team or initiative (Budget Team, Systems Team, redesign a process, etc.)
Understand the role of and collaborate with other departments in the Company (RCM, MSCPA, etc.)
Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned
Project Examples include:
Develop standard reporting package for Radiologist Compensation
Re-design Professional Fee reporting processes
Implement process improvements to streamline month-end close
Process Documentation


COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:

Ability and desire to expand Senior Accountant responsibilities to support business needs
Skill in thinking analytically and problem-solving
Ability and desire to advance professional knowledge (continuing education, advanced certifications or degrees)
Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically, streamline workload, and identify trends
Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly
Ability to have a positive attitude and influence the morale of the entire Accounting team
Ability to research complex accounting transactions (e.g. accounts receivable and revenue variances)
Ability to identify issues and present potential solutions to Accounting Supervisor/Manager


SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 4 years relevant accounting experience
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience, specifically Excel
Advanced skills in Excel (VBA, Power Query, pivot tables, macros, dashboards)
Strong project management, analytical and research skills
Experience with database analytical tools
Experience with management of large data sets (200K + rows, 20+ columns)

Preferred:
Healthcare Industry and/or Physician compensation experience
Proficiency using SQL
Experience with Power BI
Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software experience
Advanced certification (CPA, CMA)
Public accounting experience
