Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge blood glucose monitoring technology for use in both home and hospital settings, including our revolutionary Freestyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System.

In our Centre of Excellence in Witney, we design, develop and manufacture test strips and biosensors which are used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes.

As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to manufacturing and innovation in our Witney Centre of Excellence, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Planning Analyst to join our expanding highly skilled team.

Your Role: As a Planning Analyst, you will:

  • Identify, review, and lead strategic operations planning activities to improve efficiency, processes, and utilization of equipment, materials, and personnel across ADC Operations.

  • Support the site expansion program and deliver timely and effective product delivery process improvements in line with business goals.

  • Ensure all communications, actions, interactions, and behaviours are consistent with ADC core values and the Abbott Code of Conduct.

  • Identify and implement improvements to strategic site operations and processes to support site goals.

  • Apply data analysis methods to deliver models and presentations related to facility, capacity, and operations planning, providing recommendations to management.

  • Develop models and tools to improve the utilization of people, equipment, processes, materials, and utilities.

  • Establish, set, and maintain process standards and capacity models, measuring performance to plan.

  • Design solutions to address unfavourable variances and ensure timely delivery.

  • Create contingency and alternate scenario analyses as required.

  • Use Lean Sigma tools to identify and deliver improvements to reduce waste and improve process and system performance.

  • Maintain oversight of manufacturing data to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Ensure effective implementation of data analysis outcomes.

  • Establish effective communication and build partnerships with all functional areas across operations.

  • Develop and lead continuous improvement projects, working cross-functionally to implement changes that deliver savings.

  • Ensure compliance with ADC quality system, good manufacturing practices, corporate and regulatory requirements.

  • Adhere to EHS regulations and Abbott standards, being accountable for Health & Safety.

  • Ensure timely completion of training records to comply with the ETMS/ISO training system.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, documentation, and training requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Good knowledge and application of data analysis techniques.

  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Power BI, and ERP systems.

  • Good attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and business requirements.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Influencing skills.
