Job Summary |
Full-Time Registered Nurse – Pediatric General Surgery Clinic We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric General Surgery Clinic team. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance. This role requires no nights, weekends, or holidays. The position primarily involves administrative duties, with a strong focus on phone communication, in addition to some hands-on patient care. As an RN, you will be the primary point of contact for families, addressing inquiries related to pre-operative and post-operative care, recovery, and triaging post-surgical concerns. You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling a wide range of surgical cases, from routine procedures to more complex and urgent cases. The RN works closely with the inpatient surgical/trauma team and other departments to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. You will also manage and maintain multiple calendars for 13 surgeons. While the position is primarily based at our Salt Lake City location, there will be occasional coverage at our Lehi location to accommodate for sick/vacation time. Our team consists of highly skilled surgeons and support staff, and we are looking for a candidate who demonstrates strong critical thinking skills, the ability to remain calm and competent under pressure, and excellent communication abilities. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, adaptable to changing situations, and take pride in delivering high-quality care. A passion for working with children and the patience to support anxious or upset parents are essential. A good sense of humor is highly valued. |
