· High School diploma or general education diploma. Associate or Baccalaureate degree in health science preferred.
· One (1) year full time work experience in Electrophysiology or invasive cardiology technology with specialty training (minimum of 800 clinical hours) in electrophysiology or interventional cardiology procedures. Two (2) years full time work experience in Electrophysiology with competency in Advanced ECG interpretation with EP mapping and ablation system.
· Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist (RCIS) by CCI Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certified in Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
· Working knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation.
· Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
· Knowledge of patient interaction and management including knowledge and behaviors, to meet age specific patient needs.
· Demonstrates familiarity and proficiency with the setup and operation of all equipment associated within cardiovascular catheterization Electrophysiology procedures performed at HHC.
· Ability to use professional judgment and critical thinking when assisting in procedures.
