About the Role:
As a Staff Accountant at MMT, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This position is perfect for a motivated individual with a strong accounting foundation who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing reports, and supporting audits—all while contributing to our culture of accountability and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:- Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Ensure transactions are correctly recorded in ledgers, including the general ledger, A/P subledger, and A/R subledger.
- Process expense reports with precision and timeliness.
- Perform month-end close procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and distribute financial statements and reports using advanced financial systems.
- Manage accounts receivable/payable and oversee collections and payables as needed.
- Conduct general accounting reconciliations and support audits by providing documentation and explanations.
- Perform other duties as directed to support the team and company objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:- Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with accounting systems and the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
