DaVita is looking for someone interested in a dual role of Dialysis Technician / Clinical Administrative Assistant to serve our patients at our Alliance Dialysis Center in Alliance, OH.

Prefer Dialysis Tech Experience but willing to train the right person! Will also train for the Administrative Assistant aspect of the position.

Shifts will range between 8hrs (AA) and 10-12hrs (PCT)

Some details about this position:

Dialysis Experience and/or some AA experience preferred (but will train right candidate)
Clinic hours of operation: Monday - Saturday 5:00AM - 5:00PM (typically 4 days per week. One 8hr/day, two 10hr/days, and one 12hr/day.)
This role is a Dual Role that will require your hours be split between both positions to maintain full-time hours.
You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday

Dialysis Tech Requirements:

Prefer someone that is experienced and certified as a Dialysis Technician
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes! Our work ends when it's safe for our patients.
Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
Dialysis experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT).

Administrative Assistant Details:

Screen all people entering the clinic for COVID (questions and temp along with providing a mask)
Process admission requests and follow up with hospitals to assure we have all required documents to accept patients
Admit and discharge patients in computer system
Document appointments and follow up with offices to receive appointment notes
Order office supplies
Filing, good organizational skills, desire to learn DaVita specific systems quickly
Prioritize tasks throughout the day/week even when unexpected things happen
Clear and prompt communication with team, practitioners, and outside partners
Complete tasks in a timely manner

What you can expect:

Direct Patient Care.Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
Technician Duties. In the morning, the opening PCT is coming in to get the water room ready and the bicarb for the patients. They are testing the water for chlorine, checking to make sure the tools are calibrated. There are a lot of duties in the morning. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.
Physical requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions * Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently * Ability to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals I have read and understand the duties and expectations of this position
Continuous Improvement:We are consistently looking for ways to improve processes for our patients and teammates as we aim to build the greatest health care community the world has ever seen.
Building long-term relationshipswith your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
Team.Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN.
Schedule. Shifts can begin as early as 4:00 am and can vary based on patient needs. Your expected shift will be shared during the interview process
