Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, this position operates Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and load management systems, dispatches electric and water crews, coordinates transmission line switching, monitors electrical and security systems, operates equipment to bring electrical systems and generation on- and off-line, and completes operating logs and reports.

JOB DUTIES OR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

•Operates SCADA and load management system for transmission, substation, and distribution systems.
•Monitors electrical systems.
•Operates computers and software to bring electrical systems and generation on- and off-line.
•Coordinates switching for transmission lines with power supplier.
•Dispatches crews for emergency and non-emergency repair/service calls.
•Receives and responds to after-hour customer inquiries.
•Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
•Completes operating logs and reports.
•Performs metering data handling and calculations using various software programs.
•Rotates shift work.
•Complies with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Standards.
•Performs other duties as requested.

Education
Associate’s degree in an electrical-related field.
