JOB REQUIREMENTS: Good food is our heritageSiebkens Resort is looking
for Cooks to join our team. We are looking for people with excellent
communication skills, a positive attitude, and an eye for detail.
Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities for all positions: Treat all
co-workers, staff, vendors, and guests with courtesy and respect. In
other words, treat others as you would wish to be treated. Work under
the direction of our Executive Chef to complete tasks in a timely and
competent fashion to ensure ample readiness for food service Always be
prepared. Ensure assigned work areas are tidy, clean, and safe. Protect
equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies. Maintain a clean and
orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out
trash, etc. Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines. Always
maintain a professional appearance. Work well both independently and in
a team setting. Possess manual dexterity to operate cutting tools and
kitchen utensils. Be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift
40 pounds. You will assist in the preparation of delicious food in our
kitchen. You will perform various kitchen tasks such as setting up
workstations, preparing ingredients, and cooking food under the
direction of our Executive Chef and other kitchen leaders. A great Cook
will be quick to complete tasks, diligent, and always working to
improve. You will be able to follow instructions while complying with
the highest health and safety standards. To succeed, you must be able to
function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team while
performing the following tasks. Inspect and clean food preparation
areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure
safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensure freshness of food and
ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items,
and rotating stock. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct
temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and
roasters. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment
and experience. Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking. Observe and
test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using
methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or
patrons. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or
personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Bake,
roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Wash,
peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for
consumption. Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or
rush periods. Prepare relishes and hors d\'oeuvres. Carve and trim meats
such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for hot or cold service, or for
sandwiches. Bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries. Position

week Morning, mid-day, and evening shifts available, 7 days a week Total
