Join our team as a Daycare Teacher, where you’ll collaborate with a dynamic Early Childhood Education team to design and implement individualized programs for children, fostering growth, learning, and positive self-esteem. This opportunity is within a 6:1.3 classroom, ensuring each child gets the attention they deserve.

 

Position Details:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, following our daycare calendar.
  • Competitive rate of pay: $17.50 per hour.
  • Full benefits package included.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize programs in partnership with a special education teacher, providing both individual and group instruction.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  • Lead and assign tasks to paraprofessionals in the classroom, as applicable.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, sharing educational insights and problem-solving collaboratively.
  • Maintain open communication with families, keeping them informed and supported.
  • Collaborate with the team to utilize diverse techniques and perspectives in program design.
  • Keep accurate records of children’s progress and attendance, and prepare reports for parent conferences.
  • Attend required training sessions, ensuring compliance with OCFS regulations and program requirements.

Qualifications

Education (one of the following):

  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or related field  OR
  • Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Credential (ICDA) and 1 year related experience, OR
  • 9 College credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field with a plan of study to get to Infant/Toddler CDA or Associate Degree and 2 years of experience related to caring for children.

Physical Capability: 

  • Ability to physically assist children to participate in the program; ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds; ability to engage in repetitive movements such as sitting/kneeling on floor, bending and stooping; ability to move quickly to attend to a running child.
