Observes, reports, and assists in recording changes in the physical condition, behavioral response, and emotional status of clients, as well as reporting any form of abuse/neglect. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for client care and treatment activities. Administer medication after completing training that is provided by the agency as needed. Transport clients to appointments and activities. Assist clients in participating in activities(fishing, shopping, going to the movies, out to eat etc.) Assist clients with meals, bathing, grooming, etc. as needed.
Must be 18 years old. One or more years of work experience with either individuals with developmental disability, or providing personal care. Possession of a high school or proof of high school equivalency. Must also possess a valid driver's license. Pass a background screening. Ability to administer medications if needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for clients. Understand and follow directions. Accurately report and record observations. Accept and adapt to changes in assignments, methods, and policies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, supervisors, and the general public. Exercise good judgment and discretion in the performance fo job duties.
