HDR is seeking a Transportation Planner to support our Ohio transit team.

In the role of Transportation Planner, we'll count on you to:


Demonstrate public meeting and planning experience
Collect, assimilate and manage project-related data
Assist in preparation and participation of public information meetings
Participate in planning work sessions in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
Coordinate your workload to complete deliverables on schedule
Support a variety of transportation planning projects including corridor studies, complete streets, bicycle planning, transit planning, long range planning, community planning, or public engagement.
Assist in creating technical reports, studies, presentations, and other materials for stakeholders and clients to document planning study findings.
Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Planning or a related field
2 years of relevant transportation planning experience
Possess excellent analytical and communication skills
Understanding of transportation planning principles
Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Geographic Information Systems
Possess excellent writing skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and quality
Adobe InDesign
Transit, Bicycle, and/or Pedestrian Planning Experience
Experience working on projects with transit agencies, municipalities, state, and federal government organizations with relevance to transportation and transit in Ohio
