Requirements for Assistant Director of Nursing:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* Current, unencumbered licensure as an RN (Registered Nurse) in Massachusetts
* Current CPR certification
* Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care.
* Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and infection control/prevention
* Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.

Job Duties of Assistant Director of Nursing:

* Assure appropriate utilization of resources necessary for the delivery of quality patient care
* Communicate with other departments, patients, and families to ensure a coordinated interdisciplinary approach
* Oversee staff and assist as needed
* Assists with the orientation, education, competency, and practice improvement of other nursing personnel
* Surveillance of resident and staff infections monthly with attack rate and appropriateness of isolation quarterly
* Act in the capacity of the Director of Nursing in his/her absence
