Job Description

A Public Utilities District is looking for a Manager of Transmission Services. Under limited supervision, manage, oversee, and supervise the use of PUD's transmission system by new and existing entities and determine any transmission rights required by PUD to transmit power to and from other entities. This person will Manage all contractual relationships with current PUD transmission customers including point to point and network transmission and use of facilities. Work closely with Power Delivery Engineering and Systems Planning to manage the Large Generation Interconnection queue, process, and agreements. Act as the primary contact point for new transmission customers including other utilities, government agencies, and private entities. Act as the subject matter expert on topics that affect the use of the PUD's transmission system including legal and regulatory issues, system constraints, system access, facility construction, metering, billing, energy accounting, power scheduling, calculation and provision of losses, ancillary services, dispute resolution, transmission tagging paths, balancing authority adjacencies, and applicable points of delivery and receipt. Understand and represent PUD's interests on applicable NERC standards that pertain to PUD as a Transmission Operator (TOP) and potentially in the future as a Transmission Service Provider (TSP). Oversee NERC/WECC transmission reliability standards requirements. Support the Rates and Pricing department in the development and maintenance of rates and pricing for point to point and network transmission and ancillary services.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field.

* Managerial experience

* 7+ years within the utility business

* Strong communication skills
