Position Description
The Department of Human Evolutionary Biology seeks applications for a part-time lecturer role that combines undergraduate teaching responsibilities. The position is initially for one year with reappointment for additional years contingent upon successful performance and review. The target start date is July 1, 2024.
Teaching responsibilities will entail teaching Gut Microbiome and Human Health in Fall 2024; in Spring 2025, the individual will teach an advanced level physiology course chosen in consultation with the department.
The successful applicant will be hired as a Lecturer at 0.5 FTE in the Department of Human Evolutionary Biology.
Basic Qualifications
Doctorate in human evolutionary biology or related discipline required by the time the appointment begins.
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching is desired. Applicants should be knowledgeable about human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics and have experience in experimental methods.
