Job Description:
Job Summary
The property maintenance seasonal worker is responsible for maintaining the appearance and having an attention to detail from the exterior curbs to the point of entry into any of the Government Center building grounds. Sherburne County strives to provide a positive first impression to the public and visitors coming to the government center.

This is a full-time, temporary position on a seasonal basis not to exceed 67 working days, or not more than 100 working days in any calendar year if the employee is under the age of 22 and is a full-time student enrolled in a nonprofit or public education institution prior to being hired.

Regular hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, but may vary. Starting as early as Mid-May.
Location: Sherburne County Government Center, 13880 Business Center Drive NW, Elk River, MN 55330

This position is not eligible for benefits except as mandated by State and Federal Law.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain government center outdoor grounds focusing on public walkways, drive entrances, parking lots, and building entrances.

Utilize leaf blower to clear debris at entrances and pedestrian walkways.

Trash removal, pick up and emptying.

Weeding landscape areas, repair and maintain soil, sod and irrigation.

Manage cones, benches and picnic tables outdoors.

Monitor and inspect Government Center property for issues that need attention.

Sign and post maintenance.

Wash and clean Government Center fleet vehicles.

Ability to operate equipment such as leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and power hand tools.

Ability to operate vehicles such as truck, Kubota ATV, golf cart, and John Deere tractor.

Other property grounds duties, as assigned.
