Position Title: Welder

Position Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager this position is responsible for being a part in the manufacturing process of our company products. As a welder, individuals are responsible to assemble and weld parts and to fabricate products. We expect our welders to complete each job with accuracy and within specific deadlines. Essential functions of this job may include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and handling products and/or materials, reaching, and repetitive motion. Welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers use hand-held or remotely controlled equipment to join, repair, or cut metal parts and products. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of welding experience and a working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques, however we are willing to train.

Job Requirements:

Ability to work with minimal supervision on their own and be self-motivated.
Capable of receiving and following instructions.
Ability to read, write, and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety.
Ability to lift at least 50lbs or more.
Able to communicate easily with co-workers.
Ability to be organized with multi-tasking and work accurately at a fast pace to meet deadlines.
Ability to be flexible, versatile, and/or tolerant in a changing work environment.
Ability to make sound judgments and transfer learning from one situation to another.
Ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
Ability to understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure that behavior aligns with the standards and values of Daniels Manufacturing Company.

Performance Standards:

Utilize industry tools and equipment to expertly weld various metals and alloys.
Use previous experience and knowledge to complete tasks.
Examines weld for bead size, reviews specifications, and prepares and completes work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.
Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles.
Conduct tests to check weld quality and dimension tolerance.
Maintain proper equipment and inform the team lead if maintenance is needed.
Work with other company machinery and tools throughout the manufacturing process.
Agile and able to move quickly and easily while working. Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions.
Move necessary materials around job area as assigned.
Clean up worksite debris to keep work area clean and tidy.
Knowledge of Cattle Industry/Livestock Handling Equipment Preferred.

Primary Location: Ainsworth, Nebraska

Job Type: Full-Time Hourly

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm
(A typical work week consists of five (5) hours of overtime based on a forty-five (45) hour work week. Additional overtime may be offered from time to time as customer orders dictate.)
