About the Job



Men's Basketball Graduate Assistants are an extension of the coaching staff and are expected to represent the University in a proper manner. On a day-to-day basis, they are expected to be in the office every morning starting at 8:00am until the day is over around 5:00pm, and they are responsible and in charge of overseeing undergraduate student managers. In addition to these responsibilities, they have a vital role in the success of our student athletes and program as a whole.
Job responsibilities include:
Student-athlete class checks.
Administrative tasks: recruit mailouts, managing coaching staff schedules, up keeping of recruit database, among other areas.
Player development during individual workouts, as well as team practices.
Distribution of equipment such as: player/coaching staff gear, practice gear, and practice equipment.
Setup and breakdown of individual development workouts and team practices
Laundry.
Breakdown of practice and game film using Sportstech software.
Assist with recruiting visits- Official and unofficial visits.
Planning of team meals and functions.
Provide transportation for coaches and players when necessary.

Qualifications



Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
MUST be pursuing a Master's degree related to this role (i.e. Sport Management)
