Position Summary:
The College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University is accepting applications for two tenure-track positions in information systems to commence in August 2025 or Spring 2026. Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, both online and face-to-face, and conducting research in information systems.
Required Qualifications:
• A doctorate with a major or concentration in information systems, computer science, operations, or a related discipline (ABD will also be considered if it is clear the degree will be conferred by the time of appointment).
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the college/university level.
• An active research agenda with evidence of, or potential for, quality scholarly activity.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Expertise and training in data analytics, artificial intelligence, project management, cybersecurity, and/or SAP /ERP .
• Teaching and/or leadership experience in data analytics, artificial intelligence, project management, cybersecurity, and/or SAP /ERP .
• Evidence of online teaching experience and high-quality, student-centered interaction.

Central Michigan University’s Department of Business Information Systems offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in Information Systems. The department also houses the highly reputable SAP University Alliance Program and is recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE ) in Cybersecurity by the National Security Agency (NSA ). Besides the mainstream IS education, the department offers four concentrations at graduate and undergraduate levels: data analytics, project management, cybersecurity, and ERP /SAP . Opportunities to get involved with ERP systems, cybersecurity, project management, process mining, and data analytics are abound. Corporate outreach is an important function of the department.
