Requires: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent foreign degree, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, in any Business or Marketing discipline, plus three years of marketing experience with a multinational consumer electronics retailer with 1) developing marketing strategies for multi-national companies; 2) developing and coaching people, 3) leading marketing and commercial campaigns, 4) managing multiple project initiatives and cross-functional team efforts in fast-paced environment, 5) analyzing information to aid in decision-making across multiple marketing areas, and 6) measuring effectiveness of marketing and/or advertising programs. Best Buy Co., Inc. has an opening for a Marketing Director at our corporate headquarters location in Richfield, Minnesota. Position is responsible for strategic marketing work to inform, influence, and drive better decisioning across all areas of Marketing. This is a deeply cross functional role, forging relationships across Marketing, Finance, Data & Analytics, Digital & Technology teams among other groups. Lead director peers in setting vision goals, framework, and objectives of holistic marketing plans. Uncover insights and trends in marketing data. Analyze spend requests against existing activity to recommend courses of action and overall budget ownership and management. Strategize brand expansion, architecture and value propositions for a large, highly matrixed organization. Create strategic plans for key business units or initiatives. Produce compelling reports on composition and efficiency of marketing, priorities and strategies, as well as presentations that connect data to business issues. Project manage cross-functional team efforts, seeking to ensure that best practices transfer to achieve business growth and strong internal partnerships. Serve as a mentor and guide for others, acting as an advisor for the marketing leadership team. Position supervises one position (marketing associate manager). Position offers a telecommuting benefit that allows the individual to work remotely up to two days per week from within commuting distance of Best Buy’s corporate headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota.
