A LITTLE ABOUT GOLDEN VALLEY ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION

GVEA is an electric cooperative which maintains 3,292 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 40 substations, and 9 generating facilities. Our system is interconnected with Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, Fort Greely, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and all of the electric utilities in the Alaska Railbelt, extending from Homer to Fairbanks. DAY TO DAY AS A TEMPORARY LABORER

As a Temporary Laborer at Golden Valley Electric Association's Power Plant in Healy, Alaska, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Your responsibilities will include daily cleaning of the coal power station and shop equipment, ensuring that all areas are organized and free from potential hazards. You will be tasked with cleaning up spills and messes promptly to prevent accidents and support the smooth operation of the facility. Additionally, you will be involved in regular major cleaning projects to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the coal station.
