Job Summary | This is a full-time position in a Pediatric General Surgery clinic. We have two locations – Primary Children’s Hospital- SLC (main campus) and Primary Children’s Hospital-Lehi. If hired, you would be required to work at both locations, with one location being the primary location. This position duties include answering phones, making clinic appointments, reviewing schedules, faxing, taking copayments and scanning medical records into the patient’s chart. There are times when you may integrate Medical Assistant skills such as taking vitals, rooming patients, entering patient information into Medical Record charts and assisting surgeons as needed with patients from time to time. Training will be provided. The Pediatric General Surgery clinic is a high pace, busy clinic that sees a variety of patients which requires attention to detail, triaging, staying calm to assist parents over the phone and in person and evaluate the urgency of the need to give exceptional patient care. Minimum Qualifications | • One year of office experience, customer service experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). • Current, valid Utah driver’s license at time of hire may be required in some areas. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.
