Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist Physical Therapists with providing therapeutic healthcare services to patients.
Part-time role, Monday-Friday with flexibility on late days and early mornings out of our St. Paul location.
Viverant Physical Therapy is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions:
Provides treatment to patients as directed by the Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic massage
Observe patients and evaluate data on patient's progress
Instructs families and caregiver on maintenance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist
Answer phones, order supplies, complete forms
Prepare detailed and comprehensive daily notes that support treatment charges
Notify supervising Physical Therapist of any patient status change or poor tolerance to treatment
Use and set-up modalities including Ultrasound, Traction, E-stim, Iontophoresis, and MedX
Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program; or equivalent experience
Would like Pilates training or willing to train in Pilates.
Currently licensed as Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of MN or state in which practicing
Orthopedic and Sports Medicine experience required
Strong Sports background preferred
Athletic Training or Personal Training experience preferred
Pilates Training / Certification preferred
Essential Requirements:
Ability to:
Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
Complete job required training.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
Work in the clinic, office or surgery center during business hours
Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Understand and execute a variety of instructions
Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
Work independently with minimal supervision
Travel to other work locations, if required
