Job Description

Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Conduct financial analyses and assess financial data to advise US based institutional clients on stock ideas, portfolio strategy, market color, corporate access and IPOs (initial public offerings) for any equity products with LatAm underliers. Produce and disseminate LatAm (Latin American) content and trade ideas that are relevant to each type of client as well as disseminating those ideas across the firm using financial analyses. Understand client needs, analyze financial performance of LatAm corporates, and help clients with their investment decisions by connecting them with the Firm’s research teams, interpreting modeling analysis of stock prices, meeting companies’ management, and attending conferences. Help connect US based investors to LatAm corporates in the US, participate on field trips to the regions, monitor corporate developments and analyze industrial trends by participating on earnings conference calls and reading press releases or local news, often in the local language, such that investors can make informed investment decisions on companies. Coordinate IPO distribution for LatAm corporates to US based investors, including setting up roadshows, investor education and helping with the bookbuilding process. Interact with GS trading teams to coordinate investor interest on ideas so that the Firm can source flow. Fluency in Portuguese language required. Travel Required: Travel ~7% of the time to the LatAm region to host US based clients on site visits to companies, government bodies and regulators in LatAm countries.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with: working in an equity sales market position covering US based institutional investors that invest in Latin American; presenting complex technical investment concepts, financial products to institutional clients related to Latin America; building and maintaining relationships with US based institutional investors, including recommending ideas and participating in the end-to-end investment cycle of each client and leveraging client relationship to gain knowledge on their portfolio profile, sector focus and geographic exposure, in order to attract the flows and commissions to the broker dealer; and working closely with product areas, such as Prime Brokerage, SWAPS and derivatives desks and treasury, to understand product range offered to institutional investors.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $156,000 – $200,000.
