Are you bilingual in Spanish and English? Do you have a drive that makes you want to assist others in crisis? The Marion County Health and Human Services Psychiatric Crisis Center is in search of a Spanish-speaking bilingual Mental Health Associate to join our growing team. The individual in this position will be primarily based at the Psychiatric Crisis Center in Woodburn, providing back up coverage when needed. As opportunities and agency needs rise, they will be requested to work at the Psychiatric Crisis Center in Salem as well.
This person would work with a team of Mental Health Professionals to fulfill goals that have been identified for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. This position will work closely with individuals to provide skills training, access to services in the surrounding communities, and activity therapy that has been identified as a need by a Qualified Mental Health Professional; to reduce mental health symptoms.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Provides individual and group recreational, social and skills training services under a professionally developed service plan; keeps records of persons served status; performs service plan directed case management functions under close supervision; performs related duties as required. Primary responsibility of this class is to assist and support other mental health professionals, without primary responsibility for a caseload.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
1. Three years relevant work experience in a behavioral health services field; OR
2. Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field; OR
3. Any satisfactory combination of work, education, training or experience relevant to the position, as determined by Marion County.
Language skill requirement or preference: This position provides services to monolingual Spanish-speaking clients
