The Sr. Director of FP&A will serve as a strategic partner for the Executive management team and will bring experience with managerial accounting and financial management to a rapidly evolving environment in a public company. They will drive the annual budget and monthly forecast process, the overall financial planning process, provide recommendations and analysis to support decision making and strategic planning, and will manage a FP&A organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct all aspects of strategic plan, budget, reports, and financial processes
Build financial models to provide analyses and projection of investment decisions and operational efficiency
Provide insights to management team around financial modeling and cost savings initiatives
Build, mentor, and train FP&A team to support growth of company
Standardize, validate data, and develop reports and maximize automation - e.g. Futuresource, ASP, margin analysis
Design hierarchies for TM1 application, provide logic/rules on report writing and understand data flow between LN and TM1
Grasp and provide feedback on various financial models and reports that team members design
Partner with senior leaders and finance teams to support/drive new business decisions (across the organization)
Streamline month end close process to align actual results with forecasting and budgeting and increase accuracy of budgeting and forecasting
Drive cross functional collaboration
Perform ad-hoc projects and adapt to change
Job Skills and Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field is required
10 -12+ years' experience with financial planning and analysis; accounting background a plus
Strong project management skills with ability to build relationships
Ability to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines under pressure
Use business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgement in solutions of problems
Ability to summarize at a high-level with attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the utilization of MS office, BI, reporting tools
Base Range: $189,000 - $243,000 + Bonus Eligible
For business reasons, Promethean does not employ individuals who work remotely in San Francisco, San Jose or Oakland.
