This position is in-person.
Toyon has openings for technical researchers to develop/implement, test,
and analyze algorithms that solve real-world problems in the areas of
estimation and control. Minimum background includes familiarity with
probability and random processes, and linear algebra. Preferred candidates
have familiarity with estimation methods (least-squares, Kalman filters)
and linear system theory. Algorithms may be prototyped in MATLAB or Python
with potential implementation in C++. Must be able to work independently
but willing to engage collaboratively in technical discussions with other
technical staff members.
Requirements
Candidates for the Signal Processing Engineer position should have a strong
background in engineering, physics, and/or mathematics combined with
competent programing skills.
M.S./Ph.D. degree in an Engineering, Physics, or Math program
Ability to prototype algorithms in MATLAB or Python (C++ a bonus)
Strong problem-solving/analytical skills
Ability to communicate ideas/analyses in discussions, documents, and briefings
