Responsibilities
- Translate design (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PDFs, and PNGs) into working Android code
- Quickly mock out server-side dependencies to accelerate development Knowledge of server-side development processes, tools, and technology is a plus
- Strong focus on delivering high-quality results efficiently
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI-based solutions
- Develop outstanding Android applications with a high degree of customer empathy, quickly translating design into working code
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is 132, 000 – 178,500 , Bay Area California $136,000 184,000, Southern California $122,500 - 165,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in developing mobile applications for consumers
- Experience with Kotlin and Android SDK
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modern Android frameworks
- Strong knowledge of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to different audiences
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software design/architecture process
- Experience with unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Basic understanding of AI capabilities, specifically GenAI
- Knowledge and awareness of AI concepts
- Ability to work collaboratively across analytics, engineering, product, design, and AI
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Ability to stay up-to-date with advances in AI technologies and incorporate them into software development best practices
