Apple’s Platform Architecture group is seeking a compiler or systems software engineer, who will develop novel technologies for accelerating the development and verification of silicon. You will work with our world leading silicon engineering teams on next generation chips, which end up in the hands of millions of users worldwide.

Description

Design and develop new compiler techniques for hardware simulation. Support various groups (software, architecture, verification, validation) in the use of this new technology. Work independently and manage deliverables to different teams. Excellent communication, analytical and documentation skills required. Occasional travel to development groups in the US and overseas.

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent programming (e.g., C/C++) and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Lua).
  • Experience with Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL compiler preferred.
  • Optimization experience preferred.
  • Experience with multithreading or multiprocessing software a plus.
  • Parsing, analysis, front-end experience a plus.
  • Experience with LLVM or other open source compiler technology a plus.
  • Experience with programming SIMD on CPU and GPU a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
