Work 36 hours, get paid for 40
Starting Wage: $28.09/hour
Shift: Friday - Sunday, 6 AM - 6 PM + available overtime (Training on 1st shift preferred)
Location: Faribault North
Summary:
Leads the activities of workers engaged in assembly and/or operation of manufacturing equipment to produce parts or products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules.
* Fills in for absenteeism to conduct day to day unit assembly and operations.
* Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements.
* Assures safety and product quality while improving production procedures.
* Coordinates work flow with the various departments and incoming materials.
* Reports damaged and defective equipment to maintenance.
* Trains other employees in day to day procedures.
* Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output.
* Analyzes work orders to estimate work alignment and unit options.
* Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
* Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders.
* Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
* Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
* Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
* Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
* Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
* Consistently and effectively communicates with supervision and management.
* Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
* Maintains time and production records.
Qualification:
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* 3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
* Experience with computer software required. Oracle and Excel preferred.
* Experience in complex assembly, brazing or wiring preferred.
