MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or nursing. Master’s degree in nursing or doctoral degree in pharmacy (Pharm.D) preferred.
Four (4) years of experience as a certified specialist in a poison center, patient care, clinical research, biomedical research, research project management or other related experience in a clinical environment
OR
Two (2) years of experience as a certified specialist in a poison center, patient care, clinical research, biomedical research, research project management or other related experience in a clinical environment and completion of a two (2) year clinical toxicology fellowship
OR
Two (2) years of experience as a certified specialist in a poison center, patient care, clinical research, biomedical research, research project management or other related experience in a clinical environment and completion of a one (1) year clinical toxicology fellowship and a one (1) year PGY1 residency.
One (1) year of work coordination, training, or direct oversight of staff, students, or volunteers preferred.
Current Maryland licensure in good standing to practice as a pharmacist or registered nurse required. Active Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABAT) certification or eligibility required. DABAT eligible candidates must successfully pass the DABAT certification exam within two (2) years of hire date.
Weekend, holiday, rotating shift work, and on-call is required. Candidates selected for employment may be subject to medical inquiries and/or medical examinations to determine ability to perform the job. Employees in this job class may be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Solid understanding of pharmacology; solid understanding of medications, familiarity with common medication calculations (e.g., determining total mg/kg exposures based on patient information and history, doing basic percent calculations, etc.). Ability to create educationally appropriate goals and objectives for a wide range of trainees. Clery act designated job as campus security authorities (CSA) member and will comply with Clery Act requirements.

- Ability to complete a research project.
- Excellent communication skills including public speaking and writing skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population who possesses varied educational backgrounds.
- Ability to work with computers and other computer-related technologies.
- Ability to work independently to meet the professional education mission of the MPC.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000, commensurate with education and experience.
