The Department of Hospitality, Hotel Management and Tourism (https://hmgt.tamu.edu/) within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University welcomes applications for two full-time tenured faculty positions at the rank of Associate Professor based on the College Station, Texas campus. We are looking to appoint two mid-career scholars who will contribute to the research, teaching and service missions of the department. Applicants must have scholarly credentials commensurate with the rank of a Tenured Associate Professor at an R1 University, a PhD in a hospitality, and/or tourism related field and a strong record of publications and external funding. With a commitment to teaching excellence, the successful candidates will advance the department and students by balancing research skills, industry networking capabilities, and service to the department and profession. This is a full-time 9-month position with opportunities for summer appointment. The expected start date is Fall 2024.
The department rates high in global rankings of hospitality, tourism and recreation and has a long record of accomplishment in instruction, research, and public service. Our distinguished and multi-disciplinary faculty have authored hundreds of journal articles, books, and technical reports, and have provided intellectual leadership internationally in tourism and recreation sciences.
