Job Description:
If you are looking for a position where you can continue to develop your skills and work with a collaborative group of Respiratory Therapists while your works towards completion of a Respiratory Therapist degree program, Regions Hospital's Respiratory Aide may be the position for you.
Regions Hospital Respiratory Care Aides work under the direction of the Respiratory Care Manager. Responsibilities include:
Performs duties in the maintenance and setup of respiratory care equipment and supplies.
Collaborates with RTs/Supervisor in the process of planning, implementing and evaluating patients receiving respiratory care.
Assists in the delivery of basic respiratory care procedures and treatments for adolescence/adult and geriatric general care patients under the direction of an RT/Supervisor.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work schedule: FTE: .5 (20 hrs. weekly), Day/Evening shift
Required Qualifications:
Education: Enrolled in a Licensed Respiratory Therapy program
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: BLS certification
Other: Must remain enrolled as a student in a respiratory care program and progress towards graduation as a licensed respiratory therapist
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: None
Experience: Prior Clinical rotation at Regions Hospital. Electronic medical record experience.
