Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Operations Analyst is responsible for providing analytic support for performance improvement and labor management initiatives across CommonSpirit Health (CSH).  The person in this position will be a key resource for the development of organizational labor standards, data reporting, education and training of hospital leaders, and optimal use of labor optimization solutions. 

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops, and provides comprehensive system support for benchmarking and labor productivity as an integral member of the CSH Operations Performance Group (OPG). 
  • Serves as a key resource for the development of organizational standardization, data integrity and optimal use of productivity and benchmarking solutions.
  • Identifies and shares successful labor productivity and benchmarking practices and supports the coordination of their introduction and deployment across the system.
  • Provides analytic support, ongoing training and education of benchmarking and productivity systems and reports, ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered.
  • Provides key analysis and evaluation of Regions’ labor management performance to enhance operations improvement and other performance management efforts.
  • Performs all other duties required by OPG leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management Engineering, or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management or healthcare field. 
  • Must have experience in healthcare productivity management. 
  • Experience must include an understanding of productivity management and benchmarking data in clinical and non-clinical areas or in hospitals and large hospital systems. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills.  Excellent time management skills.  Ability to work in a collaborative and highly matrix environment.  Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively. 
  • Ability to work closely with CSH leadership at national and local level.  Experience with Budget Systems highly desired.  Experience with comparative benchmarking data required. 
  • Experience with API or Premier’s Productivity Solution or a comparable Productivity Solution required.  Experience with API or Kronos’ Time and Attendance Solution required. 
  • Experience with EPIC, Lawson, Meditech, and McKesson highly desirable. L
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or related experience also desired but not required.
  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in use of Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, Microsoft Excel and the Internet.
