Job Description

 
4 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 3/11/2024- 12/15/2024. Duties: The Farm Laborer will manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beets, greens, herbs, lettuce, potatoes, radishes, turnips, squash, melons, peppers, eggplant, peas, beans, tomatoes, and some flowers). Duties will include transplanting, seeding, weeding, thinning, pruning, cleaning, packing, washing, and harvesting produce. Some duties will require the applicant to work on and around machinery and trucks. Construction of trellises and fences, participate in irrigation practices and equipment set up, and use hand tools including harvest knives, clippers, and shovels. Maintain the farm property and buildings (mowing, weed-whacking, and general cleaning). Workers must have strong communication skills and work ethic. Valid driver's license preferred. Must be able to communicate and follow and follow instructions in English and/or Spanish. Familiarity with food safety. Necessary training will be provided. Must be able to work in all kinds of weather and be able to work on their feet in bent, stooped, and crouched positions for extended periods of time. Full-time, Monday through Saturday. 7:30am-5:30pm (40+ Hours/week. Additional hours and Saturday work required as necessary based on weather and crop progression. Hours may vary based on weather and crop conditions). All workers receive a farm store credit gift card weekly for $35. Requirements: * One month experience on the duties mentioned * Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds * Employer will provide necessary training * Random drug testing may be required at employer expense post-hire. * Exposure to extreme temperatures * Extensive pushing/pulling/sitting/walking, frequent stooping, and repetitive movements.
