Position Summary
The Technician B position will assist with cell culture, molecular and preclinical animal studies. The position involves processing of primary tissue samples and culture/analysis of cells. The candidate should be motivated to participate in sample processing both from preclinical modeling experiments as well as therapeutic studies. This position affords the motivated technician an opportunity to develop/utilize both tissue culture and molecular biology skills.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mouse models, in vivo drug administration, cell biology assays e.g. flow cytometry, and/or molecular biology techniques is desired. Previous experience in 3D cell culture.
Other Requirements
Candidates with excellent organizational skills and communication skills (written and oral) plus an ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment are encouraged to apply. To be successful in this position, the candidate must be highly motivated, possess a high level of initiative and attention to details. The candidate must also be capable of working independently in a team environment.
