JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central MN is a leading nonprofit agency PreK-12th grade youth. We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven intern for our fast-paced Finance department. The focus for this position will be on supporting Grant & Fund reporting and NetSuite setup projects. Other assignments will include providing general support to accounting staff month end close and administrative tasks in general.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget variance reports
2. Assist with credit card & grant reconciliations
3. Create general ledger entries
4. Ensure accuracy of documentation and its compliance with BGCMN accounting policies and procedures
5. Support the annual budgeting and auditing processes, by providing data, analysis, and documentation as needed
6. Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions, using accounting software and filing systems
7. Collaborate with other departments and staff on accounting-related matters, such as grant reporting, expense tracking, and funder filings
8. Learn and apply accounting principles and standards in a nonprofit setting, under the guidance and supervision of the CFO and Accountant
