Position Summary:

A Technical Customer Support Specialist will have primary responsibility is to utilize their extensive customer and machine knowledge (Injection & Extrusion) to provide outstanding remote technical support for installations, maintenance and repairs leveraging Milacron's cutting-edge digital solutions. The Specialist will also use their customer and machine knowledge to aid with internal and external training, and act as the quarterback to ensure all tools/material is available for on-site Field Service work orders. Lastly, this role will provide cross-functional technical support to various teams including Aftermarket Product Support and the Quality Department.

Work You'll Do:

Leverage knowledge, historical documentation, and technology to remotely diagnose, troubleshoot, and provide guidance on repairing plastic injection & extrusion equipment to the field.
Troubleshoot and isolate electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical machine problems efficiently.
Support customers by effectively interfacing with customers and internal teams via phone/email to maintain & repair machines as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Read, comprehend, and interpret layouts, hydraulic circuits and wiring diagrams.
Ability to do prototype/turnkey work with limited engineering support.- be versatile and able to apply knowledge in other brands of products, not just ours
Assisting parts support with loading and programing controls
Other duties may be assigned.

Team:

Takes ownership of customer problems & utilizes technology to proactively predict issues before they occur. Partner with cross functional teams for expeditious & efficient solutions. Supports all Aftermarket teams with remote technical solutions and capturing all trending machine component issues. Consults with manufacturing, vendors, and subject matter experts as necessary to grow Milacron's Service business.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience & specialized training in the plastics industry required.
Proven knowledge of injection and extrusion machines
Proven mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and software and tech skills required.
Detailed machine systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of various software interfaces for drives and controls
Efficient in computer skills, hardware, and software
Strong MS Office skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Salesforce Field Service Lightning or similar software package
Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills and team player
Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met.- Once trained- could be on call if chose to *hourly employees)
Ability to learn new skills at a fast pace.
