JOB REQUIREMENTS: Transport students BUS DRIVER - will train Hours:36-40
hours/week Schedule: To Be Determined Status: Part Year Location: To Be
Determined SUMMARY: The Transportation Specialist will transport
children and parents enrolled in agency programs safely and promptly.
They will be an integral part of the child\'s educational process,
portraying a positive role model for children, parents, and the public.
They will also deliver food and other program supplies/equipment to
appropriate sites and to effectively support program operations with
varying tasks such as light maintenance needs and assisting in the
classroom. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED A
valid Wisconsin driver\'s license An excellent driving record for the
past 5 years and less than 7 points on driving abstract To successfully
meet insurance underwriter\'s driving record requirements Possess a
valid CDL (Commercial Driver\'s License) with Passenger (P) and School
bus (S) endorsements The ability to lift 50 pounds Successfully pass
drug tests as mandated by federal law Strong customer service skills
Experience working with low-income families and experience with disabled
people is desirable Experience with young children Experience in vehicle
and building maintenance Training in first aid, defensive driving,
safety and child development Check the condition of a vehicle\'s tires,
brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety
equipment to ensure that everything is in working order. Comply with
traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
Drive gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi-passenger vehicles
to transport students between neighborhoods, schools, and school
activities. Follow safety rules as students board and exit buses or
cross streets near bus stops. Keep bus interiors clean for passengers.
Maintain order among pupils during trips to ensure safety. Pick up and
drop off students at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations,
following strict time schedules. Report any bus malfunctions or needed
repairs. Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for
passenger comfort. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: A
