Aerotek Burn Table Operator in Roseville, Minnesota

Expanding Burn table Operator Company seeking for hire

Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Burn Table Operator proficient in water jet, laser, and plasma cutting techniques. As a Burn Table Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our cutting-edge burn table machinery to produce high-quality metal parts according to specifications. Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate burn table machinery, including water jet, laser, and plasma cutting systems.

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements.

  • Load and position metal sheets or plates onto the burn table, ensuring proper alignment and securing materials.

  • Select appropriate cutting methods (water jet, laser, or plasma) based on material type, thickness, and project specifications.

  • Adjust cutting parameters, such as speed, feed rate, and gas pressure, to achieve desired results.

  • Monitor the cutting process to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.

  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of burn table machinery to ensure optimal performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues and notify the appropriate personnel for major repairs or maintenance.

  • Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications

  • Uses overhead cranes and forklifts to unload, store and stage raw material for processing. Verifies that the material is correct as ordered, follows practices and procedures as outlines in Company's ISO 9001 programs.

  • Loads material off/onto trucks or rail cars, verifies material is correct as stated on customer’s BOL/order.

  • Secures material loaded on railcars.

  • Responsible for daily inspections of lifting and processing equipment (when needed).

Some of the machines you'll be operating will be -

  • Operate Coil Processing/Cut-to-Length equipment.

  • Operate CNC Oxy-Fuel/Plasma cutting equipment.

  • Operate Oxy-Fuel Track Torch equipment.

  • Operate CNC Machining Centers.

1st - 6am - 2:30pm.

2nd - 2:20pm - 12:50pm.
