KBR has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team in Lexington, MA. This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. An active Top-Secret with eligibility to be adjudicated eligible for SCI is preferred.
The Project Manager will work closely with Technical Leads to oversee all aspects of assigned projects to include setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring/summarizing progress of projects. Works directly with our customers, internal teams, and partner organizations and to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management of specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner.
- Serve as first level manager or task order leader.
- Provide project leadership and management by coordinating the efforts of staff assigned to the task order.
- Manage highly technical engineering team on challenging projects
- Responsible for overall task order or project performance within budgetary and schedule guidelines. Identifies and recommends objectives and scope of projects and communicates goals, scope, approach, and schedules to assigned personnel.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Participate in program management reviews and adjust resources and schedules as needed.
- Coordinate and monitor project timelines and deadlines with technical leads and team members
- Develop an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that identifies deliverable due dates and describes the progress and any approved changes to the baseline schedule.
- Track project tasks and action items.
- Evaluate performance and prepare project progress reports
- Identify potential delays in project schedules and facilitate intervention in a timely manner
- Recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time
- Keep customers informed of project timelines and deadlines, while ensuring that project requirements are met and exceed customers' expectations

Qualifications:
Required:
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an DoD security clearance. Prefer active Top-Secret clearance with eligibility to be adjudicated eligible for SCI
- Minimum BS, Engineering, Sciences, or Related Field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Prior management experience and extensive knowledge or experience within the assigned technical discipline(s) covered under a proposed TO.
- Capability to lead project development from inception to deployment, expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms and demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
- Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
- Proficiency in project scheduling software, such as MS Project
- Proficiency in schedule planning and management
- Ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions
- Ability to keep customers informed of project timelines and changes
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Exceptional customer relations and engagement skills.
- Experience in strategic planning, project proposals, risk management and/or change management
- Proficiency in project management software tools
Desired:
- Prefer familiarity with military communications systems, including training, system integration, sustainment, and operations
- Experience managing projects with significant software development
- Prefer knowledge of understanding of development and modernization, fielding, testing, documentation, and support of complex training solutions, systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation: $142,800 - $214,100
This salary range is for Massachusetts only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
