General Ledger Staff Accountant

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm





OVERVIEW:

Working as a Full-time General Ledger Staff Accountant, you will enjoy the opportunity to participate in an energetic work environment helping the company comply with its intercompany accounting and transactions between subsidiaries for Fastenal's world-wide locations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

oPreparing legal entity financial reporting

oRecording journal entries related to intercompany transactions

oProcessing various month-end, quarter-end and annual close activities including reconciliations and account analysis

oOverseeing compliance with global intercompany policies

oProcessing intercompany invoicing and settlement

oCreating and implementing efficiencies in intercompany processes

oAssisting with set-up of new international locations

oParticipating in development projects - planning, testing and implementation

oPerforming special projects and other administrative tasks as necessary



REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The skills and qualifications for this position include:

oPossess or are working towards a bachelor's degree in Accounting OR have relevant work experience

oExcellent written and oral communication skills

oProficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

oHighly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

oDemonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

oExhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

oDemonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

oLearn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

oWork independently as well as in a team environment

oDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
