The Albany Auto Group is seeking full-time experienced SERVICE ADVISOR at BMW of South. Our dealerships are centrally located in the Capital District and boast excellent work environments. Our service advisors receive an excellent compensation package – weekly pay plus commission along with many other benefits! Weekly salary plus commission can make $80,000 plus per year. Job Duties: • Initiating services by listening to the customer’s description of their vehicles issues/symptoms while clarifying descriptions • Conducting inspections and taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records and examining service schedules; verifying service contract and warranty coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders, and maintaining customer rapport and records • Calculating customer payments, including deductibles and obtaining necessary signatures and entering repair orders (RO’s) into service databases • Updating job knowledge by participating in training and keeping abreast of manufacturers’ publications • Enhancing the group’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Requirements:

• At least (2) years of experience in a service advisor role is ideal, preferably in a dealership setting with previous customer service experience • Valid, insurable driver’s license and ability to pass a background check • Experience or certification with specific manufacturer is a bonus • Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive attitude
