Senior Flight Nurse (RN3) Outreach Clinical Educator

The Outreach Clinical Educator position is a unique hybrid role at Airlift Northwest.

This position will work with the Clinical Education and Outreach departments at ALNW to meet the educational needs of the larger UW Medicine catchment area. The Outreach Clinical Educator will be responsible to plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver education events for our requestors (EMS and outside hospitals) and support the execution of the Clinical Education Team's goals internally. Must be skilled in performing and analyzing a learning needs assessment. Will work with ALNW outreach staff and requestors to identify learning needs. Candidate must be proficient in public speaking. Candidate will be expected to identify and apply the most recent practice evidence for presentations. Will be expected to regularly communicate feedback from requestors, progress towards goals, and overall performance of outreach education. Candidate is responsible to track all CAPCE and California CE activities in Microsoft Office 365 tools.

This is a 50%, part time position; 20 hours per week.

Clinical Education Coordination - Conduct and analyze learning needs assessment of learners - Delivery and/or coordination of trainings and presentations in varied settings (prehospital, hospital, conference) - Collaborate with Clinical Educators and Outreach RNs. - Validation and approval of outreach presentations by outreach speakers - Managing customer relationships

Curriculum Development - Develop and maintain content for a variety of learners of varied backgrounds
- Maintain and evaluate menu of offerings -Determine delivery method for offerings

Administrative Duties -Tracking events for CAPCE and CEU requirements.

This position requires a person with a dynamic personality who is flexible, extroverted, strategic, and team oriented. The candidate must be adept in devising multiple tools for communicating on multiple channels to internal and external providers. This candidate will need to flourish in a changing environment and demonstrate self-motivation and resiliency.

REQUIRED:

*This position is only open to current ALNW RN employees.

Bachelor's Degree or BSN and 5 years experience · Active clinical experience and 3 years of education design and delivery experience (can be concurrent with clinical experience). · Experience in emergency medicine, transport, or ICU environment · Proficiency in electronic medical record keeping and Microsoft Office programs. · Professional Certification CFRN required depending on clinical background
DESIRED: · Paramedic - Critical care certification · RN with emergency medicine, transport, or ICU experience - same requirements as above. · Instructor status in any of the following: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, ATCN, TNCC, ALSO, BLSO, etc

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This job requires travel outside of the ALNW main office to include driving, flying, and meeting with outside organizations. Cubicle environment at ALNW offices, remote work optional after onboarding. Participation in meetings with large and small groups of physicians, nurses, prehospital providers, forest service, etc.
