Insight Global is looking for a quality engineer supporting a specialty polymer manufacturing client, sitting in Havre De Grace, MD. The Quality Engineer is responsible for applying quality and statistical principles to maintain safety and quality systems within the Havre de Grace laboratory and site operations. They will be responsible for analyzing quality issues and developing corrective actions, including customer notifications, rework, waste, and other costs of quality contributors. They will be the owner of quality documentation pertaining to the work cell such as specifications, inspection documents, testing requirements, sampling plans, LIMs configuration and methods. Monitor product quality performance through SPC and CPK analysis of critical raw material and product parameters. As well as representing the company to customers during communications/visits with the responsibility to ensure/display preventive systems in place for the customer's product. Timely disposition of materials identified as non-conforming, SMOG, and / or scrap Coaches/Instructs employees in quality assurance principles and methodology. Ensuring operators are adequately trained to undertake the quality standards in accordance with customer and or quality system requirements.
