The outside sales associate position is responsible for generating sales by building relationships with potential customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through the buying cycle to make a purchase. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain sales pipeline; develop relationships with customers/potential customers within our target market. 

  • Manage customer base ensuring sales and profit objectives are achieved. 

  • Identify and provide appropriate solutions for each customer’s specific need. 

  • Regularly calling on existing accounts. 

  • Effectively manage time and resources to attain results. 

  • Determine pricing for quotes and monitor credit term compliance. 

  • Conducts sales presentations to end users and/or key decision makers. 

  • Ability to answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses. 

  • Provide product information and practical training to customers’ personnel if needed. 

  • Travel as needed to meet with customers; Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, company meetings, etc. 

  • Communicate with purchasing and operations teams to meet customer-requested delivery dates. Troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process. 

  • Participate in company functions and promotions. 

  • Attend and participate in weekly sales meetings and ongoing training sessions. 

  • Review & analyze daily, weekly, monthly reports such as, sales/gross profit report, account variance reports and others as identified. 

  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing weekly call plan and outcomes, processing credits and pick-up requests, preparing price quotes. 

  • Provides quality service by following organization standards. 

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
