The DevOps Architect works across the organization to automate and accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of corporate applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably. 

 

The role requires a deep background in development, operations, testing, and troubleshooting of distributed full-stack architectures such as microservices.

 

The role requires experience programming and managing high-level language ecosystems such as Python, Java, C#, shell scripts, etc. and other languages for installation, configuration, and provisioning such as Terraform. 

 

The role will establish and employ Continuous Integration and Deployment practices for the Enterprise using cloud-native managed services and DevOps tools. They must have experience using configuration management automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet in creating continuous delivery systems. They employ Continuous Delivery patterns and collaboratively work with the Change Management Team to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions. 

 

The role will be responsible for mentoring and teaching existing team members.  Must be adept at evaluating complex problems accurately and displaying sound judgment to clearly explain solutions to those complex problems and demonstrate the ability to lead and impart knowledge effectively to staff and customers. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Collaborate with DevOps Director in driving direction of DevOps product suite within the Enterprise. 

  • Work with Enterprise Architecture and application teams in bridging existing and upcoming technologies to the rest of the corporate development community. 

  • Lead the team staff in implementation, maintenance, securing, and uptime for the DevOps product suite that includes pipelines, integrations, monitoring. 

Job Requirements:

  • 4-6+ years experience in troubleshooting integrations. This includes identity management such as OIDC and SAML, messaging, web-based APIs such as REST and GraphQL, configurations of web and application servers.

  • 4-6+ years of diverse experience in constructing CI/CD pipelines and workflow engines through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Anthos, ARM, or equivalent). 

  • 4-6+ years experience in application development processes and ownership.  This includes inception, evolution, and sunset.  Knowledge of an application programming language, testing frameworks, and software delivery methodologies through tooling such as Jenkins/Hudson or related tools. 

  • Elastic Search/OpenSearch deployment, capacity planning, and applied use.

  • Extensive experience in executing cloud-native (AWS, GCP, or Azure) architectures using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) from IaaS, PaaS, SaaS with and without containers. 

  • Knowledge of contemporary network and data security practices.

  • Data Center Operations in managing fleets of servers and related technologies such as networking, storage, and configuration management. 

  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across different departments and locations, including senior management, software developers, data analysts, and business leaders. The ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language and articulate the value of DevOps solutions is vital.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

The anticipated base salary for this position is $128,100 - 189,800. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
