The Department of Pharmaceutics in the School of Pharmacy has an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Research Scientist/Engineer 1.. Under the guidance of the Principal Investigators (Jash Unadkat), the Research Scientist/Engineer I will be responsible for managing the lab, and running experiments focused on predicting the in vivo disposition of drugs based on in vitro studies (e.g. qPCR, quantitative targeted proteomics, transporter/enzyme activity assays). While this position will generally follow established standard operating procedures of the research laboratory, the incumbent should be highly flexible and work well in a dynamic research environment. Strong attention to detail, record keeping and quantitation is required. RESEARCH PURPOSE: To predict the disposition of medicinal drugs in humans based on in vitro studies using cell culture and quantitative techniques such as qPCR, quantitative targeted proteomics, and activity assays of transporters and enzymes. AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Research - 95% Administration MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.
