Lyman Roofing and Siding headquartered at 5320 West 23rd Street, Suite 180 St. Louis Park, MN 55416 phone number: 612-430-7200 is looking to fill six (6) Semi-Truck Drivers positions from 04.01.2024 to 12.31.2024. This is for full time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include: As Semi Truck Drivers, workers may drive a semi-truck, boom truck or straight truck weighing at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Workers will drive from plant to drop off locations, returning to plant each day. Strap downloads. Operate powered industrial trucks, and other vehicles or mechanized equipment. Workers will be required to load and unload building materials from vehicles or mechanized equipment. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Special requirements include: Must have class A commercial driver's license or its foreign/international equivalent. Must have one month of CDL driving experience with commercial vehicles. Must pass employer-paid pre-employment and/or random drug testing. Must be able to handle temperature extremes. Must be able to follow all DOT regulations. The pay rate is from $26.25 up to $31.75 per hour with overtime available from $39.38 up to $47.63 per hour, based on hourly rate. 40 hours per week from 6AM – 2:30PM, 2PM – 10:30pm, Monday to Friday. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 5320 West 23rd Street, Suite 180 St. Louis Park, MN 55416 and will service clients within the Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI, Southeast Minnesota nonmetropolitan area, Western Wisconsin nonmetropolitan area, St. Cloud, MN, Mankato-North Mankato, MN, Northwestern Wisconsin nonmetropolitan area, Rochester, MN, Northeast Minnesota nonmetropolitan area, Southwest Minnesota nonmetropolitan area BLS/MSA, including the counties of Anoka County, MN, Carver County, MN, Chisago County, MN, Dakota County, MN, Hennepin County, MN, Isanti County, MN, Le Sueur County, MN, Mille Lacs County, MN, Pierce County, WI, Ramsey County, MN, Scott County, MN, Sherburne County, MN, Sibley County, MN, St. Croix County, WI, Washington County, MN, Wright County, MN;Rice County, Goodhue County, Steele County, Waseca County; Barron County, dun County, Pepin County, Pol County; Benton County, Stearns County; Blue Earth County, Nicollet County; Burnett County; Dodge County, Wabasha County; Kanabek County, Pine County; McLeod County, Meeker County, Renville County. Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is weekly. Employer provides housing and utilities to the workers at a weekly payroll deduction of $90.00. Employer will make all deductions required by law. Workers may be held financially liable for any willful or negligent damage to company equipment, property, or provided housing. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced.
