The Production Supervisor plans and executes work required for manufacturing industrial and or fabricated production shifts in accordance with customer demand and quality requirements. Supervisor manages staff work schedules and promotes a highly efficient, organized, positive and safe work environment. Supervisor will work closely with management, engineering, and quality resources to continually improve the process and will be responsible to oversee the site while meeting weekly build requirements. The supervisor will need the ability to modify schedule as needed to support the business

Essential functions include:


Responsible for meeting internal and external customer requirements. This includes management of production schedule, coordination of work responsibilities and communication between shifts/departments and all stakeholders.
Ongoing support and project leadership for Continuous Improvement / optimization to reach capacity, yield and cost objectives.
Participate on World Class Manufacturing (WCM) pillar teams and potentially lead green/yellow belt efforts.
Development of staff, including training, coaching and performance management related activities. Shift Supervisors are also responsible for maintenance of time and attendance tracking systems.
Safety, 5S, meetings and AS9100 and ISO14001 related activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A strong understanding of the Union environment to ensure that the company and the union comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.


Is this job for you ?




Bachelor's Degree Operations, Management, Engineering or related field. Consideration may be given to those with 7+ years' experience in related discipline in lieu of a formal degree.
3+ years Supervising and supporting fabricated related manufacturing processes
5+ years working within a manufacturing environment
Experience with WCM/Lean Manufacturing Implementation

To make sure nothing is forgotten




Ability to read, understand and fabricate detailed drawings
Ability to develop or modify SOP's and perform operator training. Develop testing to verify effectiveness of training. Cross train staff for maximum flexibility and job satisfaction.
