Description

Emory at LaGrange Ophthalmology is seeking a full-time optometry provider to join our growing Ophthalmology practice.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Physician will attend to the needs of all patients within the scope of licensing, training and credentialing. Attend to the medical needs of all patients by performing patient care activities to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Physician and assist in generating adequate practice volume. The Physician will participate in on-call duties and actively participate in meetings and committees. Practice medicine within the current scope of national patient safety goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a Doctor of Optometry degree and residency training or commensurate work experience. Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia. Board Eligible or Board Certified preferred. Hold a valid DEA certificate without restriction. Experience in outpatient medical practice preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must be computer literate.

Additional Details

Applicants must have a Doctor of Optometry degree and residency training or commensurate work experience. The Optometrist will assist with clinical patient care, at the main Emory at LaGrange, Clark Holder Clinic location. The Optometrist will provide quality medical eye care, evaluating and treating patients, while collaborating with the ophthalmic team in the management of pre and post operative patients. Rank and salary commensurate with experience.

 

Specific applications are being accepted for candidates in primary eye care/ocular disease with an opportunity for low vision rehabilitation. Residency training in primary care and low vision/vision rehab or geriatric care is highly desirable. Commensurate work experience will be considered.
